Ontario Border Collie Breeder: Superior Sport and Performance Dogs
The production of outstanding Border Collies that have very good health, longevity, trainability, temperament and workability is the ultimate goal at HiQ Border Collies. The dogs are their beloved pets first, competition companions second, and breeding dogs a distant third. All of the dogs are active members of the family and all compete and have earned titles.
HiQ Borders is run by Dawn and Howard Kadish. Dawn is a veterinarian and Howard founded the Canadian Disc Dog Association. They are the owners and operators of Dog Sports Centre which is also on their property.
About Border Collie Puppies
HiQ Borders go to a great deal of trouble to pick the ideal parents to produce what they feel will be the best puppies for both health and dog sport performance. While they do have puppies available from time to time, they recommend reserving a puppy as early as possible. All of their puppies are raised in the house with children and are handled by everyone. Each puppy also goes through the“Super Dog” early neurological stimulation program. This program has been proven to increase intelligence, health, trainability and the ability to handle stress for the puppy’s entire life. Each puppy also receives a full physical exam and is carefully monitored throughout its development.
All of the puppies are registered with the Canadian Border Collie Association (CBCA) and most are also registered with the American Kennel Club (AKC). Most of the puppies are eligible for registration in all known Border collie registries. All of the puppies are fully guaranteed and are sold with a written health guarantee and contract. Before going home each puppy is microchipped (with a registered microchip), has had a veterinary exam, has been dewormed several times, has had a fecal test, had had the first vaccination. Each puppy goes homes with an information package, six weeks of health insurance through PetSecure, a weeks supply of food, and an identification tag.
All of the parents (both male and female) have been tested and certified clear of hip dysplasia, all have had DNA tests for CEA/CH and have had their eyes tested (CERF).
HiQ Borders works very hard to ensure each puppy has a great start and leaves HiQ with every advantage, ready to live up to its full potential. Once you have reserved a puppy you can visit your puppy as he grows and develops. If you are unable to visit you can track your puppy’s growth and development through the HiQ Borders website. They will have a page specifically dedicated to the puppies that will be updated regularly with pictures and information as the puppies grow and their personalities develop.
If you are considering one of HiQ Border’s puppies, they encourage you to visit them first. Be sure to make an appointment for a visit.
