oh my dog! offers a wide range of services for your dog and puts an emphasis on training. Based in the Queen West area.
Group Walk (2 dogs)
On a group walk, your dog will visit the park with 5 other dogs. Parks frequented include: Humber Bay Park, High Park, various ravines and trails, Cherry Beach and occasionally Trinity Bellwoods. On average, your dog will be away from home for about 1 hour and 15 minutes to 2 hours, depending on how far you live from where we venture. Once at the park, dogs are free to run off leash (unless otherwise instructed), swim, wrestle, or poke about, as they please. On a group walk dogs are regularly given opportunities to work on recall and good manners. Only socialized, dog-friendly dogs are taken on group walks.
These 30-minute, private walks are done with positive reinforcement trainer, Katie Hood. This service is for anyone with a dog who for any reason cannot, or should not be in an off-leash, group setting (for example, a new puppy, a recently rescued dog, or one who is still learning to like other canines). These walks can also help dogs who simply need to get used to all the scents and sounds of our city. Katie will make sure that no opportunity is missed to help a dog adapt to everyday experiences such as, say, a streetcar or a garbage truck. Since aggressive dogs also can’t go on group walks, Katie will spend each walk making sure these dogs have a positive experience and gain confidence at each outing.
Boarding and Sitting
Boarding is available in owner’s home or in your home but space is limited. Please call or email for more details.
oh my dog! also provides services for canine nutrition. Perhaps the most intimidating aspects of home-cooking for your dog are the time it takes, the cost, and worrying about getting the recipe right. oh my dog! will provide a diet for your dog that is easy to make, affordable, and nutritionally balanced.
When we met Christine and Katie from ohmydog!, we knew we had hit the gold mine. It’s clear to us that they love Charlie as much as we do – whether it’s sending us a note to let us know something cute Charlie did that day, informing us immediately if they noticed something off with her or providing us with advice on everything from nutrition to medical symptoms, we couldn’t ask for more.
